HipTronik: What is the evolution of your sound? You’ve all been a group for eight months, but has there been a change that’s taken place?

E: I’d say so. When Eroc first started writing the music he was coming from a Cut Copy/Depeche Mode kind of world. Now I think we’ve moved into the electronica/Top 40 stuff, especially with the remixes we’ve done for Interscope artists like P. Diddy, Lady Gaga, Mary J. Blige.

I think that’s a really unique part of what our band does. We have this whole production side, we work with other artists and we remix songs and I think that’s one of the things that helps separate us. WE like to collaborate and work in general.

Space Cowboy & Far East Movement - Digital Rock Star - Falling Down

Brand new artist/DJ Space Cowboy (Cherrytree/Interscope artist and Lady Gaga's DJ) is tearing up UK clubs and has just teamed up with the Far East Movement to lace a remix to his UK club hit "Falling Down." The original track—produced by Red One (Lady Gaga, Akon) and featuring the Paradiso Girls—already gets the clubs jumping, but this new version of "Falling Down" is produced by the Stereotypes and includes new verses by FM. According to FM’s blog, this track will "make the club jump up jump up and FALL DOWN."

LMFAO - Party Rock - La la La

The first time I heard this song, I remember thinking, “This song is going to become a classic!”  In late summer 2008, I knew this song LMFAO had up on their myspace page was a bit before its time. Since signing their major deal with Interscope Records--a label that seems to be on the forefront of the Hiptronik movement--this track has become the flagship song for their summer/fall 2009 Party Rock campaign on a national level. This video also seems to have been a portal to introduce their label mates the Paradiso Girls to the world.

Space Cowboy - Falling Down (Remix) [feat. Chelsea] - EP - Falling Down (Space Cowboy Remix)

It may be a bit of a stretch to classify this Space Cowboy track as one of our genre, but his swagger definitely gives this song the "Hip" that legitimizes it as a Hiptronik track. Featuring label mate Paradiso Girls, this release is a prime example of how the world is shrinking as Space Cowboy represents the classy London club vibe. Look forward to more features of this guy; he's definitely a highlight on the Interscope roster and positioned for international success.
