Whachadoin? – N.A.S.A. ft. M.I.A., Spank Rock, Santigold & Nick Zinner

Sam Spiegel (Squeak E. Clean) and Ze Gonzales (DJ Zegon) are keen on collaboration. Their project N.A.S.A. (an acronym for North America/South America) emphasizes diversity not only through their name, but through their music.  Spiegel and Gonzales are each deejays in their own right, but came together after a chance meeting at a party.  N.A.S.A. was formed and the pair hasn’t looked back, signing with Anti Records and coming out with their album “The Spirit of Apollo” last year. N.A.S.A. credits their sound to Brazilian funk, giving their music that drifting quality, like in “Whachadoin,” featuring M.I.A., Spank Rock, Santigold and Nick Zinner of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. HipTronik thrives on creativity and collaboration, and that’s what keeps N.A.S.A. going.
