Hooligans – Don Diablo ft. Example
The days of Don Diablo the DIY artist are now long gone. The Amsterdam native signed a deal with Sony Music in 2008, released the third chapter of Sellout Sessions in 2009 and is now headed on his first North American tour. Now, the ‘Most Blogged Artist’ in the world has recently collaborated with Example to create an eclectic sample of beats in the club medley “Hooligans”—a screeching manifesto that commands your attention. The blaring horn is the riotous instigator that builds momentum and gets you amped for the adrenaline-pumping line. Watch out: this song is sure to get you into the hooligan mindset.
Won’t Go Quietly – Example
Example (whose moniker was derived from the initials of his real name, Elliot Gleave) has found his way back to the Brit rap scene with the release of his new single, "Won't Go Quietly." This time, however, he is adding a bit of a HipTronik edge to create what he calls "Dysfunctional Electro-Pop." The song stays true to that description, combining a catchy pop hook with Example's familiar flow on a relationship gone wrong. Vigorously trying to craft his own genre, Example's seen success with his last single, "Watch The Sun Come Up," which sat in the Top 40 for four weeks. The single was definitely suited for mainstream play; Data Records decided to officially released it next month, followed by an album in April, proving that Example just won't go quietly.
