Whatever You Like (Discotech Remix)- TI
Despite the fact that there's not much information out there about who Discotech actually is, we can definitely come to the conclusion that they create some awesome remixes. And one of their best? That has to be TI's "Whatever You Like." The original had us grooving but this version has us bouncing on the dance floor. It hardly strays from the arrangement of the original track, it simply gives it that HipTronik push. Discotech has just launched a new blog, which lacks a bio but makes up for it with little gems of remixes. Besides, if the music's good, does it really matter?
Roots – Kill The Noise

Jake Stanczak is the man behind the skull mascot. Better known as Kill The Noise, this LA youth proves he’s no amateur, boasting a resume that rivals some industry veterans. The globetrotting DJ/producer has already made his mark on the HipTronik scene, playing at nightclubs and festivals all over the world and accumulating a devoted fan-base outside of his hometown sphere. “Roots” is the title track on Kill the Noise’s first solo release "Roots” EP. Stanczak keeps you on your toes with his unpredictable lines and suspenseful beat. Be sure to look out for the skull in the baseball cap. You’ll be seeing it again.
Club Love – The Cataracs

The Cataracs have become a Bay area sensation. Campa (David Singer-Vine) and Cyrano (Niles Hollowell-Dhar) stay close to their Berkeley roots with their hyphy-influenced tracks. The sprightly duo’s fresh sound caught the eye of their current label, Indie Pop/Universal Republic, and they’ve released songs with high-profile artists like Far East Movement and E-40. “Club Love” has a sultry rhythm and electro beat that’ll have you feeling the hyphy motion. It’s the diverse elements of The Cataracs’s sound that has HipTronik buzzing with anticipation.
Fireball- Dev

You've already heard Dev on the hit track "Like a G6" by Far East Movement, which sampled her song "Booty Bounce." But this singer is no one-trick pony. Dev has a slew of amazing tracks floating around the internet right now, including "Fireball," an eclectic forray into HipTronik, mixing electro with a touch of reggae. But her style and the song's dreamy interludes remind us of a rougher version of Uffie. The emotion spilling out of Dev's flow and the bass is enough to leave our head spinning. "Fireball" is not a track you can miss.
Control (LA Riots Remix) – Kid Sister

The LA Riots are always the life of the party. Daniel Ledisko and Jon Pegnato let loose on their tracks with bass-thumping, electro action fit for the the carefree club set. Best known for their amped-up productions, the LA Riots perform as well as they remix. The pair have played at Lollapalooza, ULTRA Music Festival and most recently at the Electric Daisy Carnival, demonstrating their irresistible magnetism both onstage and on their records. The HipTronik duo infuses their high-velocity stamina into Kid Sister's electro-hop smash “Control,” creating an explosive, dynamite track.
Idealistic – Digitalism

The HipTronik twosome Jens “Jence” Moelle and Ismail “Isi” Tüfekçi choose to venture into the unknown with their eclectic group Digitalism. The German duo breeds transcendent appeal, creating fusion-electro beats with personality. “Idealistic” has a stimulating electro rhythm with an undeniably indie feel, giving the track a complexity characteristic of the duo. Digitalism captures a worldly essence that puts them at the forefront of HipTronik.
Bubonic – AutoErotique
AutoErotique are HipTronik to the core. Not only are their remixes noteworthy, but their original work commands just as much attention. Their latest EP “Bubonic" is a charged set that includes the original track and remixes by Mustard Pimp and Drop the Lime. The Autobots bring a new level of edge, giving the “Bubonic” track an escalating electro thrill with its dramatic bass and suspenseful beat. Can’t satisfy that Autobots fix? You can catch them playing at the Electric Daisy Carnival this week.
Hot-N-Fun (Boys Noize Remix)- N.E.R.D.

Boys Noize have taken an already funky, beat-infused track by N.E.R.D. and turned it into pure HipTronik ecstasy. "Hot-N-Fun," which originally featured Nelly Furtado, is the first single off N.E.R.D.'s upcoming album "Nothing." Boys Noize add twisted synths to the song and make it even more danceable than before -- something we didn't think possible. Check out the original track here, and preview the remix here:
Cross The Dancefloor – Treasure Fingers
Treasure Fingers has struck HipTronik gold -- again. The DJ banks on a beat that's a blast from the past, without being stale and repetitive. Instead, the disco sound is given a modern twist with a fresh electronic infusion. “Cross The Dancefloor” has that Treasure Fingers stamp with its funky groove and HipTronik spin. With a European tour underway and a batch of official remixes, the Atlanta DJ's indie image and disco feel has done wonders to perpetuate the indie craze.
When You Smile – Spice Twice ft. El Blaze (free download)
We've covered these guys before, but they've been pumping out tracks like there's no tomorrow. Made up of Gado, a Japanese Italian Brazilian, and Jey Key, who is Russian, Spice Twice get their inspiration from living and partying in Tokyo. They take HipTronik and build it up from the ground floor. Their homemade efforts have lead to multiple headlining appearances at Tokyo clubs and a steady fan base in a country largely devoid of HipTronik (at least at the moment). There's room to improve, but we have to commend their efforts thus far and expect nothing but the best from them in the future.
Like A G6 – Far East Movement ft. The Cataracs & Dev

The Far East Movement know how to make a hit. These HipTronik club fixtures collaborate with indie artists The Cataracs and Dev for “Like A G6,” from the group’s “Party Animal Mixtape.” Although the track was released late last year, it’s finally making its way mainstream with the help of their newly released video, with its pumped up dance lines and vibrant club scenes. “Like A G6” is a fiery track with a heavy bass and catchy beat that’s sure to become the next summer anthem.
Whachadoin? – N.A.S.A. ft. M.I.A., Spank Rock, Santigold & Nick Zinner

Sam Spiegel (Squeak E. Clean) and Ze Gonzales (DJ Zegon) are keen on collaboration. Their project N.A.S.A. (an acronym for North America/South America) emphasizes diversity not only through their name, but through their music. Spiegel and Gonzales are each deejays in their own right, but came together after a chance meeting at a party. N.A.S.A. was formed and the pair hasn’t looked back, signing with Anti Records and coming out with their album “The Spirit of Apollo” last year. N.A.S.A. credits their sound to Brazilian funk, giving their music that drifting quality, like in “Whachadoin,” featuring M.I.A., Spank Rock, Santigold and Nick Zinner of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. HipTronik thrives on creativity and collaboration, and that’s what keeps N.A.S.A. going.
Uffie- Neuneu

Uffie, the French-Electro songbird whose album "Sex Dreams and Denim Jeans" drops June 13th comes at us with the forthcoming track "Neuneu." The song is amazing and a bit playful as the jazzy electro beat bounces up and down alongside Uffie's sweet as sugar voice. The apt and clever lyrics set it over the top though, and almost make you ask, "Ke$ha who?" This HipTronik gem of an album which features Pharrell and the Beastie Boys' Mike D among many others is definitely not one to be passed up.
Remedy – Crookers ft. Miike Snow

“Remedy” is a product of mutual exchange between the Crookers and Swedish band Miike Snow. It all started when the Crookers were asked to do a remix for Miike Snow’s single, “Animal.” The two groups hit it off, so the Crookers invited Miike Snow to make good use of their chemistry for their “Tons of Friends” album. The Crookers perpetuate their dynamic image with their diverse sound, choosing to break away from their signature one-note sound, despite the success of their “Day ‘N’ Nite” remix. This track “Remedy” marks an evolution of the Crookers' HipTronik identity.
Phantom Part II (Boys Noize Remix) – Justice

Germany’s very own Boys Noize lays out some tricks in “Phantom Part II.” The DJ and producer has an eccentric personality that translates through his music, with his ability to pull together pieces that seem random and tranform them into a coherent track. “Phantom Part II” is a sporadic compilation of sounds that keeps the energy flowing. Boys Noize has a lot in store for his HipTronik fanbase; if the collection of official remixes and albums isn’t enough, you can catch Boys Noize on tour or check out his production work with Boys Noize Records and the upcoming release of Gonzales’ “Ivory Tower.”
