Muzik – 4Minute

Appearing on the K-Pop scene only four months ago, 4Minute is wasting no time with releasing music and stirring controversy. Muzik is the third single since their debut (their second single was actually banned by the Korean Broadcasting System for being “too sexually overt”) and the girl group manages to take the electro sound sweeping Korea and twist it into something relatively unique. As if encapsulating a wild night of clubbing into one song, “Muzik” takes the listener on a journey from melodic autotune to a haunting overture to Gwen Stefani-like rapping. Sure to be compared to similar groups circulating the Korean airwaves, 4Minute just might have the opportunity to carve out a niche for themselves.
