Keep It Goin’ Louder – Major Lazer ft. Nina Sky and Ricky Blaze
Major Lazer’s DJ Diplo and Switch team up with Nina Sky (the twins responsible for hit track “Move Ya Body”) and up-and-comer Ricky Blaze for “Keep It Goin’ Louder” — the buoyant product of a corresponding set of talent. The song’s lighthearted feel and consistent beat resonates throughout the video's playful animation on the dance floor. It’s a simple, feel-good sound that comes as no surprise considering the charisma of the collaboration. “Keep It Goin’ Louder” has a happy-go-lucky feel that makes it irresistible.
Lapdance (Bingo Players Bootleg) – N.E.R.D.
Hip hop and dance music fans alike are reminded of the unique funk/rock/hip hop sound that put N.E.R.D. on the map back in 2001, as this Bingo Players' edit of "Lapdance" (check out the original) makes its rounds in the current dance festival circuit. Always known as innovators of their craft, N.E.R.D. and The Neptunes garnered respect for their digital production techniques and should be considered pioneers in today's Hiptronik movement. It's no surprise that they've even headlined HARD New Year's Eve and HARD Summer, two of the biggest electronic music festivals on the West coast. Meanwhile, the Bingo Players are another Dutch duo that have risen amongst the ranks in the electro house scene in the past year, and Diplo's remix of "Get Up" remains one of the most recognizable tracks of 2008.
Dip Hop – Diplo ft. Dead Prez
Everyone in hip hop knows who the Dead Prez are. Their song "Hip Hop" was a popular track speaking out against the commercialism of hip hop. Electro DJ and producer Diplo took the signature sounds and vocals from the track and produced an incredible remix which is ironically uptempo and danceable. Don't get us wrong--this song is just as dirty as the original but in a completely revamped way!
