NAMIE AMURO - 60s 70s 80s - EP - WHAT A FEELING
What do you get when you mash up one of Japan's hottest pop stars with one of its hottest electro groups? You get "What A Feeling," a collaborative hiptronik effort by Namie Amuro and the 80kidz. It has an amazing sound that would work great both in the clubs or in a mix, and with the abundance of English lyrics, could even do well internationally. Granted, this isn't an official remix (the song is 80kidz' "This Is My Shit"), but whoever mixed the two songs deserves major kudos.

ayumi hamasaki - Rule / Sparkle - EP - Rule (80Kidz's "No More Rule" Mix)

What happens when you mix one of Japan's greatest pop stars with its most exciting electronica group? Answer: "Rule (80Kidz's 'No More Rule' Mix)," the original track which appeared on Ayumi Hamasaki's 45th single, "Rule / Sparkle," and was used internationally in the live action "Dragonball Evolution" released earlier this year.

Surprisingly, the 80Kidz were asked to remix the track for the megastar, despite their underground status. The results are simply mouthwatering, if not completely addictive. Though they don't often release electronica/hip-hop mashups, the 80Kidz are definitely worth checking out (you'll love "Life Begins at Eighty" and "Disdrive"). Trust us, this up-and-coming group out of Tokyo is not one you want to miss.
